Review for Canon PIXMA iX 4000 A3 Inkjet Printer:
A3 epson had some poor reveiws so I looked at the Canon printers. I was stunned by the possible saving, so checked the replacement ink prices. These too seemed very reasonable. So I took the plunge, I have many other Canon products that all have proved to be top quality.
I have been amazed by this machines speed and exceptional quality printing on all types of media. The A3+ size glossy prints are superb, and mono photo prints are rich in tonality and depth.
I agree with one or two others it is a bit clunky taking the paper in, and spits it out with venom, a minor issue. The results make this an outstanding product I would recommend to anyone requiring upto A3+ printing with results far above the budget A3 printer price.

Review for Epson Stylus RX585 All-in-One High Quality Photo Printer:
Having read loads of reviews singing the praises of the RX585, particularly for its photo printing quality, I opted for this model. What a disappointment!
The photos I printed intially on glossy inkjet photo paper were very grainy in appearance and colours (especially black) were poorly matched to the actual colours, with the black printing as red.
However, once I used Epson's own premimum glossy photo paper prints are perfect and would give photo labs a run for their money.
Overall the printer is very good and software fairly easy to use, but photo quality is only good as long as you use Epson's own ink and paper making it quite expensive to run.

Epson RX585
I bought this printer as a replacement for the Epson R200 which was a fantastic photo printer for 4 years (until the print head started playing up).Having read loads of reviews singing the praises of the RX585, particularly for its photo printing quality, I opted for this model. How much does this printer really cost?
Just Like many other users of this printer, I cannot fault the quality of the prints, I have produced some really great photo's, But replacement cartridges are very expensive, I cringe when it automatically goes into head cleaning mode, Amazon are currently selling this printer for £219 a new set of cartridges are £80, As the machine comes with a full set of cartridges, This means when you subtract the price of a set of cartridges, the printer is actually only worth £139, So it might be better to just buy a new one rather than get an expensive repair man out, But hopefully I won't have to do that for some time yet.5

Neat and tidy
As a complete novice in the world of photo printers, I decided to go for something cheap. Despite the price, this seems to do everything I need it to do. It's smaller than the average toaster, but nevertheless prints off superb quality photos. Printing time seems a little slow, but I've nothing to compare it to, so it's fine for me. All in all, this goes to prove that good things do sometimes come in small packages6
Review for Kodak, Printer Dock Plus Series 3, Photo printer:
This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the colour cartridge ALWAYS runs out before the photo paper, leaving you with up to ten sheets of photo paper that you can't use.
NO, you cannot buy the colour cartridge on it's own, you can only buy another cartridge and paper bundle.
At the end of a year, you will fin dyourself with a sizeable stack of Kodak photopaper that you cannot use.
YET ANOTHER GREAT WAY THAT KODAK HAVE FOUND FOR LINING THEIR POCKETS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSUMER!

Review for Kodak Easy Share Photo Printer Dock Series 3:
But, as other reviewers have mentioned, the ink cartridge ran out, as did my paper (which of course Kodak makes sure you can't use any other kind of paper except there own high price products). So like a shmuck i bought them both, i got enough paper but the problem was the cartridge, or should i say the printer entirely. You see this printers build is absolutely terrible, it can fall apart on its own without tampering with the screws, so it is unfortunate that you can't just pop in a new ink cartridge, oh no you gotta rip this thing apart, eagerly trying to replace the ink cartridge. So i took out the old one no problem, then I may have done something wrong, but rest assured i tried my best to but a new one in, it was EXACTLY the same as the one i removed and yet.. i didn't go in! there was a large chunk of metal machinery in the way. i looked in the manuals and all the other crap that comes with this bint, and nothing, i take the thing apart (easily) and try to forcefully remove hunk, nothing.. so no more prints for me.. which is a shame because the 2 stars this got was for the camera, which is quite good. shame the video recorder can't have sound..
i won't even bother whining about the software problems and annoyances if i haven't convinced you not to get this yet . Avoid this monstrosity.

Review for Epson Stylus DX4450 - Multifunction ( colour ) - ink-jet - printing (up to): 25 ppm (mono) / 13 ppm (colour) - 80 sheets - Hi-Speed USB:
For £30 you get a printer, scanner and copier.
The printer works fine. The print quality is good and we printed 50 sheets of A4 containing colour and text straight out of the box with no problems.
Good quality(but only the higher quality print settings are much use, avoid the draft setting)
No problems with ink running out quickly.
It is however noisy and looks and feels cheap, but hey, for £30 how can you go wrong?
As far as ink goes, you are better off buying cheap replacement ink online rather than branded epson ink (which cost a fortune!)but be careful since the epson printers made after 2007 do have a problem accepting these cheaper inks sometimes.
In summary: Cheap and cheerful printer. But buy on the high street since you can get it for £29.99!

Review for Canon PIXMA Pro9000 A3+ Professional Photo Printer:
The canon pixma pro 9000 is out of this world!!.Having had it two weeks,I have just printed some A3+ photo's and they are alive!,the colour is exactly the same as the photo, sharp, and detailed!!.
I paid £548 for my s9000,and had 5 years good service from it,refilling carts.
If I get that out of this pro 9000, I will be very Happy.
It is a fair bit bigger, and am finding it hard to track the red and green carts, but when the rest of the UK catches up.this is a serious bit of kit!
If you want your printed pictures to look like the photo you took, this is for you.
No I don't work for CANON but it is that good.

Excellent printer and speedy delivery
I ordered this on a Wednesday evening and it arrived on Saturday morning, speedy service I'd call that! Despite shaking the table upon which it's mounted each time it's switched on, it has proved a very capable machine and is producing top notch prints. A nice feature is the ink level meter that gives you plenty of time to purchase refills. I'm pleased with it...12

Protracted Calibration Uses Photo Paper Every time
I've had major problems with this printer and unbelievably am on my 3rd unit. The first unit's Ethernet port would not work, the replacement had a mechanical fault. Every time you start the printer it has to go thru a laborious and unacceptably expensive calibration procedure that uses A4 photo paper!!!!!!!.The mechanics sound like something out of Wallace & Grommit - they are quite obviously crude and inefficient.

Quick prints at home or away
Have the CP300 version of this printer. It's compact, quick, cheap to print photo's and is very easy to use. Easy with a camera plugged straight into it or from the PC via a USB cable. I often use it from it's own battery rather than plugged into the mains and either put the prints into albums or send them as postcards to friends and family. You can put 18 (half the pack of 6 x 4's) cards into it pick your pictures, tell it to print and either watch the magic happen or walk away. The prints come out dry and sealed. Excellent value for money. I think the difference between the 330 and 300 model may be the ability to print by sending to it's infrared port. Quality is great, I print from 4, 6 and 8 Megapixel cameras with fantastic results. BUY IT !16

rip off - message e90 - it will stop working after a while
My rx520 was working just fine when suddenly i get a message E90 on the screen which means you have to have it serviced (which btw would be more expensive than getting another printer). It turns out this message comes up because epson have installed timers or counters into their printers. so after a certain amount of usage your printer will simply die. Epson's excuse is that it is to prevent ink leaking onto your desk. And seems to be that's all it is - an EXCUSE to RIP YOU OFF, because after all, they could have allowed the scanner to continue working, couldn't they? But no, the whole all-in-one is dead.Shame, i liked the negative scanning facility.

Total garbage
This is the worst printer I have ever used. It consistently has paper feed issues - I'd say 95% of jobs don't print first, second or even third time. You need to manually feed the paper in a sheet at a time as it is incapable of dealing with multiple sheets. Ironically, the quality is fine - good even, I just never get to see it.1-20 » 21-40 »

Excellent value for money
I found myself in need of a basic, no-frills (cheap) printer. I did the online searches - checked prices on what was available locally - & settled on this little beauty....I made a point of reading the previous reviews here - generally it looked ok for the money & (despite some previous reviewers' reservations)I went for it. - It cost me less than 20 quid! -
(It also cost me an extra 14 quid for the USB cable) - But every advertisement I saw for this printer screamed that I would need to buy a separate cable - If previous reviewers missed this well.... Caveat Emptor - This is NOT a failing of the machine OR HP. It seems like almost ALL printers at this price need the cable as an extra - & why not? - (even the local retailers I visited surrounded the machines with extras like cables. paper, cartridges etc.)
Imagine how pissed-off you'd be if they added an extra tenner to the price for including the cable & you had a spare one lying about in a drawer somewhere. - That's life - This Printer does not deserve to be marked down for not including a cable.. So...
Bought it - Unwrapped it & followed EXACTLY what it said for installation.I have Vista home Premium & had no problems at all on installation. - Generally it all went perfectly.
I did have some issues when using the"cartridge alignment" section during the installation routine - It seemed to back out at the section where the square needed to be aligned ?? , but if you print off the page as required & enter the values to set the alignment (a bit like an eye test, but this may be common when adding printers - I don't know as this was the first printer I've ever had to add/configure.) & follow the instructions you should be ok.
This is a piece of kit designed for a specific purpose - that punches WAY above its weight. - Sure, the HP specific ink cartridges are expensive - That's why it's so cheap - they don't realise that we all know where to get much cheaper ink (Sshh.....see below)
So - In Summary...........
Excellent Print quality, Inexpensive, VERY easy to set up/install - Unbelievable for the price <£20,00 in Comet - other suppliers may be competitive ;-)
If all you want is a basic printer (yes it also does colour photos superbly) - then go for it!
3 years ago I paid over £120 for a photosmart (portable) printer that only does 6x4 photos.
This little beauty does colour A4's easily - It also does envelopes & a lot of other stuff that I haven't sussed yet.
If you just want a basic printer, then go for this one - Just don't be surprised when you realise that it can do so much more for you than you ever realised.
10/10
