Review for Canon PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer:
Having looked around, i concluded to this printer, and i am sooooo happy with my purchase! It looks great-shiny black, very easy to use and install! Took about 5mins- take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on, put the cartridges in, install the software, attach a usb cable and its ready to use!
It comes with 2 ink cartridges one black and one colour. (ideal for me since you can choose which to use when printing instead of what i had before with the Lexmark where i didnt have a choice and it would use the ink and then once the black part of the ink had gone it was say id have to buy a new one, therefore if the black went on this one, i could just buy a new black cartridge and not have to buy colour if i dont use it much)
It doesnt come with a USB cable- hardly any printers do anyway- and i used the same one from my old printer.
I couldnt beleive how quick the printing was- i printed out two pages of my essay just to test it and it prints one line at a time in a split second, where as my Lexmark took about ten seconds per line! this is exactly the kind of speed i was looking for as ill be printing lots of essays this year.
The quality of the ink is extremely good i thought maybe on my other printer it was my paper that made the ink look rubbish and fade but it wasnt its the ink! the ink and quality of the work printed is so good just like its suppose to look! textbook quality. Very sharp and crisp.
It has a quiet mode so at night you can turn it on this mode if you dont want to wake anyone, but you can also keep it on in this mode all the time for the quietness.
my old printer also kept gettin paper jams and the paper would get aligned wrong somehow but with this printer, you can align it to A4 and the paper would stay there and print out straight as it should.
overall im extremely impressed with this printer.
It is also clever how it has a sensor that knows when the front part of the printer is not open when you try to print, for example today i pressed print and then got a alert message saying to open the front lid of the printer (as that is where the paper comes out of) to avoid paper jams. so this is clever incase you forget to open it, and then you can close it to save space.
£30 is a bargain for this printer, it also is designed to print photos but i havent tried that yet so cannot comment. but it is definitely better than the lexmark z735 i had before. and a top quality printer which everyone should buy!

Review for Canon PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer:
Excellent printer- top quality! Recommended!!!
I was looking for a printer the other day and couldnt decided which one to get, i bought the Lexmark z735 2years ago for about £15 but its seriously so expensive to run and not worth it at all. The Lexmark took forever to print one page and the ink cost about £15 average which didnt last long plus it being combined ink it always run out so much quicker, therefore i decided to spend a bit more on a better printer.Having looked around, i concluded to this printer, and i am sooooo happy with my purchase! Review for HP DESKJET D1460 colour ink jet printer, 16PPM A4 1200DPI:
I made a point of reading the previous reviews here - generally it looked ok for the money & (despite some previous reviewers' reservations)I went for it. - It cost me less than 20 quid! -
(It also cost me an extra 14 quid for the USB cable) - But every advertisement I saw for this printer screamed that I would need to buy a separate cable - If previous reviewers missed this well.... Caveat Emptor - This is NOT a failing of the machine OR HP. It seems like almost ALL printers at this price need the cable as an extra - & why not? - (even the local retailers I visited surrounded the machines with extras like cables. paper, cartridges etc.)
Imagine how pissed-off you'd be if they added an extra tenner to the price for including the cable & you had a spare one lying about in a drawer somewhere. - That's life - This Printer does not deserve to be marked down for not including a cable.. So...
Bought it - Unwrapped it & followed EXACTLY what it said for installation.I have Vista home Premium & had no problems at all on installation. - Generally it all went perfectly.
I did have some issues when using the"cartridge alignment" section during the installation routine - It seemed to back out at the section where the square needed to be aligned ?? , but if you print off the page as required & enter the values to set the alignment (a bit like an eye test, but this may be common when adding printers - I don't know as this was the first printer I've ever had to add/configure.) & follow the instructions you should be ok.
This is a piece of kit designed for a specific purpose - that punches WAY above its weight. - Sure, the HP specific ink cartridges are expensive - That's why it's so cheap - they don't realise that we all know where to get much cheaper ink (Sshh.....see below)
So - In Summary...........
Excellent Print quality, Inexpensive, VERY easy to set up/install - Unbelievable for the price <£20,00 in Comet - other suppliers may be competitive ;-)
If all you want is a basic printer (yes it also does colour photos superbly) - then go for it!
3 years ago I paid over £120 for a photosmart (portable) printer that only does 6x4 photos.
This little beauty does colour A4's easily - It also does envelopes & a lot of other stuff that I haven't sussed yet.
If you just want a basic printer, then go for this one - Just don't be surprised when you realise that it can do so much more for you than you ever realised.

Excellent value for money
I found myself in need of a basic, no-frills (cheap) printer. They all should be this easy
The ease of setting up this Lexmark printer was a pleasant surprise, being a network engineer I know how difficult setting up a wireless printer can be. I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the web site and followed the instructions; the only exception was entering the MAC address of the printer in to my router before I installed it. It connected the first time, it is quiet and quick the copy function is also quick. Having had Lexmark printers in the past I hope this will be as reliable as them as I am fed up of having to change printers annually.7

does exactly what it says on the tin
i bought this printer for two reasons- 1, the price and 2 the fact its epson. im not what you would call a heavy printer i only do random things like print off email confirmations, colouring in sheets for the kids ect.i found it very easy to set up when it arrived- i even put in the cartridges all by myself lol. the quality of one photo i printed wasnt amazing but still good, basicly what im trying to say is if you just want a family printer/copier/scanner then i think this is brilliant. if you want excellent quality then maybe you should save up a bit more money.but its just what i needed8

Just beautiful
This is a really excellent printer that is simple to use, hardly any sockets or switches but the quality of the prints is wonderful. I've printed a few A4 and one A3 print so far and the cartridges shipped with the product still have lots of ink left. I can't fault this printer and I am really glad I brought it.9
Review for HP Deskjet 6940 Color Inkjet Printer:
The main reason I bought this specific printer was because it had good reviews as a general purpose printer, but it also seems to do a pretty good job with photos. I also didn't realise until I bought it that it had a built in Ethernet port (plug it into your router and you've got wireless printing!), Picture Bridge (I can plug my Canon Ixus into the USB port on the front and print directly from my camera). It has a separate feed slot for envelopes and photo paper, as well as a fixed paper tray. You can also plug in a Bluetooth adapter, to print from your camera phone (if you want to go in for all that nonsense - why bother : ))But the thing that has really impressed me is how quiet it is, relative to both my old Epson printers, and how quick. It's not far off Laser Printer speeds when printing emails, etc.
And what's more, this is the first time I've ever bought a printer for under £100. I've yet to see how it will fare after 2-3 years, but I'm pretty impressed so far. Bargain!

A lot of printer for the money
I've been buying Epson Stylus printers for the past 6-7 years, and both my previous purchases started to pack up once they reached the 3 year mark, generally becoming more and more quirky (refusing to feed paper, funny splodges on the page, etc), so this time I thought I would try an HP.The main reason I bought this specific printer was because it had good reviews as a general purpose printer, but it also seems to do a pretty good job with photos. Review for HP Deskjet 6980 Inkjet Colour Printer:
I bought this to replace an aged 895CXi, and it hasn't disappointed in anyway. Quick, quiet, good output. Lovely to have a network printer at this price. I really can't fault it. I don't us it much for plain text - use mono laser for that - but anything mixed, or that I need in colour is dispatched really nicely. I do use inkjet paper to minimise bleed/spidering, and it's worth it.

Review for Epson Stylus D92 Printer:
worked great... at first
now i'll be lucky if i can even print a single piece of paper. It continually says that the paper is not loaded correctly (and ive tried varing types and amounts), so i'll continually have to click 'try again' or press the maintance button- one time i counted that i'd pressed it 30 times and IT STILL WOULDN'T PRINT! the parts work but it won't take the paper.
on top of that... the status monitor. I have to by new ink about once a month @ £8 a time (usually black once a month, other colours about 2/3) so the usage is okish... but what isn't ok is that monitor... i HATE the fact you can not print a black and white only document if there's no ink in the other colors... WHY? i just want black and white text document!!!
So... if i don't have the money and I have a document to print... I have to wait... even if i have a full black cartridge!!! ARGH!!!! SO FRUSTRATING!
I'd only recommend buying this product if it went below £15ish. It's not worth it's price tag sadly. Now All I seem to have is a brick that I can not use. Door stop maybe? but even then i doubt it'll do it's job :(

Review for Epson Stylus Photo R2880 A3 Photo Printer with individual inks:
The printer is quite large but easy to assemble, and the software installation proceeded with no problems. Reviews say that the new printer interface is an improvement on the old one. I dissagree with this. It's still good, but not an improvement.
So what were the first prints like ? A bit dissapointing - too washed out with weak colours. So I reduced the brightness and increased the contrast in the printer preferences and the results were then very good indeed. In fact the colours matched exactly those on the monitor screen, something I have never been able to achieve before.
Although the R2880 has higher resolution than the 1270, this did not show in the prints. What did show was the printing speed - just over 2 minutes to do an A4.
The pigment inks do not soak into the paper like dye inks do, but sit on the surface, so the resulting prints are not as glossy but still very good. An they should last a lifetime.
Would I reccommend this printer. You bet. The results really are very good indeed and the printer feels well made. I have printed many thousands of images over the years on several different printers, and the R2880 gives better results by far. Enough said.

Accurate prints at last !
I purchased Epson's R2880 to replace my trusty Epson 1270 photo printer which, after 9 years producing excellent prints finally gave up the ghost. I was keen to see what improvements had been made in 9 years of development. The printer is quite large but easy to assemble, and the software installation proceeded with no problems. Reviews say that the new printer interface is an improvement on the old one. I dissagree with this. It's still good, but not an improvement.

Don't waste your money
I bought this on the strength of the majority of good reviews this product received. I sincerely wish that I hadn't. Once the cartridges provided had run out I found it next to impossible to find compatible cheap replacements and the price of the canon cartridges are far too high. I tried using a refill kit but the printer refuses to acknowledge that it has more ink and on top of that, after only a few months of very light use the nozzles are clogged and are impossible to clean. I replaced my old epson stylus with this lemon because I was tired of nozzle clogging and expensive cartridges ( but at least i could get some cheap ones from the supermarket! ) if I had known what a headache this was going to be I would have just got another Epson - better the devil you know. So save yourself the aggro and look for something else - this is one printer I would not recommend14

High Quality photo Printer
I bought this printer for my sister in law's 80th birthday . She does not like using her computer software for printing her digital photos . It is also not very convenient to take the card to the shops for printing . She is absolutely delighted with this printer . It was very easy to set up , works perfectly and produces very high quality prints in about 90 seconds . If you have a digital camera, this is all you will ever need to produce excellent prints of your favorite shots . I would highly recommend this printer which is well worth the money ! .16
Review for Canon Pixma iP2500/EN A4 4800x1200dpi USB 2.0:
Those minor glitches aside, this is a product I would recommend. It is stylish and sturdy with a fast print rate in both black and colour. The cartridges have an integral print head, meaning that this printer should carry on printing clearly for many years yet.

Excellent value for money - a quality printer
My second Canon printer, and one that is in heavy use due to my job as an adult education tutor. The printer was easy to install and has operated for over 6 months with no problems. The only slight annoyances are that a)the paper rest drops down readily unless held back by a cable looped round one corner, b) the on-off button and the restart button are right next to each other and almost invisible, being black-on-black and c) like my last Canon, if a sheet of paper doesn't drop clear on printing, the rollers will snatch it back up as they rewind and inevitably crease it!Those minor glitches aside, this is a product I would recommend. It is stylish and sturdy with a fast print rate in both black and colour. Replacement cartridges are now easy to obtain, including lower priced compatibles. The cartridges have an integral print head, meaning that this printer should carry on printing clearly for many years yet.

Great, but a French product supplied.
Bought this for wireless capability and style - much smaller & neater than Epson or others. very easy to set up & works well on all PC's in the house. quality ok. BUT - bought from Pixmania and was supplied as a french sourced product. mains adaptor was the wrong sort so did not work, had to use one from the old printer, quick start guide was in french or german, and 2 versions of control panel in french or german. so this was dissapointing. why was a european version supplied to a uk address? otherwise very pleased.18
Review for Epson Stylus R800 Inkjet Colour Photo Printer:
Oh yes, the quality's great - until you don't do any printing for a week or come to change cartridges that is. The ink-wastage is unbelievable. I can't even begin to describe the amount of time and money wasted vainly trying to unblock the printheads. Nothing works - not even Isopropanol. My guess would be that a lot of the positive reviews are written fairly shortly after purchase or by very heavy users who print regularly. For normal use, this thing has been an unmitigated disaster.
Frankly, my personal opinion is that this printer is so fundamentally flawed that I don't believe Epson should even be selling it - it's about time they realised that there are a lot of people who will never go near one of their products again. If you are still considering purchasing one of these money-pits, check the internet - my experiences are commonplace.
Bottom-line an expensive waste of money that's gone in the bin after 1-year.
FYI, this is an independent review and I've no connection to any printer manufacturer, distributor etc.
Rant over.

Rant over.

The epson stylus sx 400 printer
I ordered this printer on 12th oct it arrived on the morning of 15th oct, i unpacked it and 15 minutes later i was using it. Its certainly the best printer i have had, its a little noisey when starting up, but it prints, copy's and the photo prints are excellent, all i'm waiting for is to see how long the inks last. The printer comes with a set of cartridges. I would recommend this printer.
