Review for Brand New Apple iPhone 8GB-Unlocked Mobile Phone-Black:
But it isn't perfect by any means.
The battery life is not great. It's obviously full of clever (and energy-sapping) features like 3G and GPS, but with even relatively limited use you'll be charging this on average every one and a half days. You can turn down the brightness and do other things to conserve power, but they only have a limited effect. This also means that all those lovely applications you can download only have limited play life before your battery starts to drain. Having said that, it does perform well when it comes to making and receiving actual calls, which is really the point of the iPhone.
UPDATE 26/9/08: Firmware 2.1 has significantly enhanced battery life.
The camera function is severely limited. It's 2 megapixels, but there is no digital zoom, no light/flash and no video recording. There is also no sound recording.
You can't save draft text messages, or forward a pre-existing message to someone else. Nor can you copy and paste so if you want to forward a message you have to retype it.
You can't send or receive MMSs. To send a pic you have to email it; to receive a pic you have to log onto your 02.co.uk account and access it there. Messy.
If you're happy with this then great. I'm over the moon with mine but there are higher spec devices out there. What they don't do, which the iPhone excels at, is pulling it all together into an incredibly attractive and intuitive device.
Lovely.

Beautiful, intuitive but not perfect.
What I would say in brief about the iPhone is this: believe the hype. It works seemlessly, it's achingly gorgeous to look at and performs excellently. The GPS is actually very useful and has saved me a few times from getting lost. But it isn't perfect by any means.

Review for Nokia N95 8GB Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black:
I've only had the phone for a couple of weeks, but it's advanced features just keep on impressing. WiFi is really useful. The 5MP camera is much better than it has any right to be and is probably comprable to the dedicated 5MP cameras of about 18 months ago. The video camera is very usable, definately not HD but certainly good enough to use in an emergency when you don't have your camcorder to hand. The video and audio playback capabilities are excellent for watching your videos or listening to your MP3 collection in quiet moments.
The only down side to this phone is battery life, and everything you may have read is true. That said, considering what it does, charging it every couple of days is a small price to pay.
All in all, I can't recommend this phone enough, and if you have any doubts (as I did if I'm honest - £450 is a lot of money for a phone) don't, it's worth every penny.

A truly wonderful phone.
As the title says, the N95-8GB is a truly wonderful device. As a phone, it performs beautifully and is loud and clear enough for use in noisy environments. The phone book is very easy to use and, despite huge amounts of negative debate on numerous forums, it proved very easy to pair with my Garmin nuvi 760T by using Nokia's 810 Contact Downloader software.I've only had the phone for a couple of weeks, but it's advanced features just keep on impressing. Review for Palm Treo 680 Sim-Free Smartphone:
I would have rated it higher but for the fact that the camera is rubbish and there is no wi-fi. If you want these things look elsewhere. Also Palm customer service is abysmal. Only buy Bluetooth headphones, the wired version can jam an internal switch in the phone so the phone won't work. I eventually managed to free the switch. After more than 25 emails to Palm I am no closer to getting a refund as I don't want to use them again. You only have 14 days to return products bought from Palm. Palm extras are also overpriced.

This is probably the most useful thing I have ever bought. Especially great for reading documents and I have a Russian-English dictionary on mine which is very handy. Also good as a phone, perhaps a little on the heavy side. Operating system seems to work well, easy to use. Generally very pleased with my purchase.I would have rated it higher but for the fact that the camera is rubbish and there is no wi-fi. If you want these things look elsewhere. Review for Nokia 1208 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black:
The other problem is that texting takes ages. There are too many menu options to go through before you actually get into your text, all of which require choosing options via the arrow buttons and selecting using the central button. All too often the buttons don't register that you've pressed them, or worse send you off to the other end of the menu and you have to press the arrow buttons to get back to where you were. It's fiddly and time consuming, and takes any joy out of texting at all.
I've always had signal problems in my house, but this phone's signal is far worse than my last one. I had to practically stand in the road outside my house yesterday in order to send a text. The texts take so long to send (even standing in the road) that the light goes off on the display before the text has sent, and there's no way to tell whether it's gone or not without pressing a key to turn the keypad light on, but that then aborts sending the text. Until I realised what was going on my texts were all being left in the outbox or drafts folder without being sent.
I shall be getting a new phone very soon. The only things this phone has going for it are that it looks great and is relatively cheap. Not much good if you can't actually use it though.

Review for Nokia 1208 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black:
Looks great but doesn't deliver
I've had my Nokia 1208 phone for a couple of months now and am disappointed with it. I just wanted a simple phone that makes calls and texts, and this does do both of those but, like the other reviewer, I have missed several texts because the alert sound is so quiet, and I have very good hearing. Because I have problems with signal in my house I have to leave it in one room while I move around the rest of the house. I could hear the text alert on my old Nokia (very old) anywhere in the house. This one I have to be in the same room with it, and even then if the radio's on I might miss it. All settings are set to loud, but it just doesn't measure up.The other problem is that texting takes ages. There are too many menu options to go through before you actually get into your text, all of which require choosing options via the arrow buttons and selecting using the central button. All too often the buttons don't register that you've pressed them, or worse send you off to the other end of the menu and you have to press the arrow buttons to get back to where you were. Review for Sony Ericsson K800i Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black:
To name but a few... probably the most annoying ones:
1. the navigation joy stick works intermittantly
2. the Pre-emptive vocab is mad... offering non readable words or words such as"ye" as the 1st option instead of the most commonly used"we" ... are sony erricson trying to tell us they are still in the dark ages!!
3. the dedicated key to connect to the web is too close to a regularly used key.. the 'go back' key and easily pressed in error. Plus, as it's a one press operation, which you might think as really handy, means you can end up being connected to the net with out noticing, if you happen to brush the key as just before putting the phone down and before the auto key lock has has a chance to kick in.
4.the diary keeps swapping numbers between contacts ie a friend from work rang me, I couldn't answer at the time so rang her back later... it said it was connecting to the person who had rang earlier, but actually used another contacts number...potentially v.embarrassing!!
I've had the phone 3 weeks and will be getting a more user friendly phone asap to replace it...As you can probably guess I don't like the K800i

Review for Sony Ericsson W200i Sim Free Mobile Phone:
The walkman function is easy to use, however the software has faults such as after you put the music on it will not let you access it saying"you have used the wrong software", but this can be fixed by playing and stopping a song on"now playing".
The joystick is easy to use.
The camera is simple, and fairly good.
It doesn't have bluetooth, and I haven't used the infared yet.
The organiser has many useful functions.
It has a good fm radio.
The games keep you entertained and so does the music and photo dj.
All in all, this is a fantastic phone with good features

Review for Nokia 6021 - Bluetooth - Polyphonic Ringtones - Built In Handsfree - Sim Free:
Positives; The phone does everything a phone should and nothing it shouldn't. SIM free for less than 70 quid, tri-band, Bluetooth, e-mail (from my existing POP3 account), mobile Web browser, calendar/address/task sync with Outlook (using the free tool from the Nokia site). So far I've had zero crashes, excellent battery life, rock solid Bluetooth pairing and voice dialling with perfect reception and call clarity. The phone is small and light but has a solid and sturdy feel when you use it. The screen is clear and well up to the job in hand. The joystick style control work great for me and feels much better than those directional type keys you get on most phones. The back of the phone is textured making it easy to grip and prevents it sliding off shiny surfaces or dashboards.
Negatives; The phone's menu interface can be a bit clunky until you get used to it. It won't sync unless the handset is in stand-by (i.e. not currently parked on another menu). I can see memory space getting a little tight if you have a huge number of calendar entries, although I've yet to get anywhere near filling it. The Nokia PC Suit software for Windows, needed to sync the phone with Outlook, can be awkward to use but it's worth bearing in mind that it IS free and problems with it affect all Nokia phones since it's a standard application for all of their models.

Great phone, but not for gimmick addicts or 12 year olds !
If you want a phone to make your friends (and muggers) jealous, thin enough to snap in you pocket that you can play chip-monk style MP3s out loud on public transport, or take"funky" or"wacky" (read"blurry" and"dark") photos of your mates with a top battery life of 3 days if you don't make any calls then please look elsewhere.Positives; The phone does everything a phone should and nothing it shouldn't. Simplicity
I have several phones and bought this one as trial for my mother and good friend who often complaint about tiny keys on their mobiles. This one has large keypads, easily seen, easy to use, very good camera, video and sheer NOKIA simplicity and brilliance. Clamshell means the screen doesnot scratch like my SlimSlider and Iphone. It automatically locks the keypads when shut. It saves me money as unlike some other mobiles a slight touch often means my mobile automatically roams on the internet or making speed dialling calls without me realising! This neat little phone saves me battery life - and money. Minus all the other gimmicks this is one of the best there is on the market18

Best phone for usefull features
Having owned many state of the art gadget phones over the years (Myself being a gadgetere) The Nokia N95 has got to be ranked as the best, well for this year/month at least. Anyway I wish to discuss batery life, as one reviewer commented the first few charging cycles should be from completly discharged to fully charged to get the best charge to usage ratio but remember the manufacturers know that people who have bought there new shiny all bells and whistles toy (sorry mobile telephone) will want to play with it as soon as they recieve it, so the battery is semi charged. By all means run the battery down and then give it a good overnight charge 12 hour minimmum 16 ideal then you should get 2 to 3 days average use as a phone on a 1 hour charge, it even beeps to tell you when its fully charged.19

It's lovely
This phone is really good value for money - in my opinion it's the best compromise between style, quality and money on the market, which is why I decided to buy it. It looks really nice, has a stunning display system and is quite user friendly. It's also metal not plastic - a positive feature, which, however increases the weight of the phone to some extent. Found it difficult to text at first but easy to get used to. Another drawback (besides weight) might be the speaker system/volume: even when set at max. volume set for ringing tone it's difficult to hear!Sim Free Mobiles, Motorola F3 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Brand New Apple iPhone 8GB-Unlocked Mobile Phone-Black, Nokia N95 8GB Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Palm Treo 680 Sim-Free Smartphone, Nokia 1208 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Motorola W220 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black - Cheap Flip with Radio, Sony Ericsson K800i Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Nokia 3110 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Motorola V3 Black RAZR Mobile Phone Unlocked Sim Free, Nokia 2760 Sim Free Moble Phone - Grey, Sony Ericsson Z310i - Sim Free/Unlocked - Works on all Networks (not 3) - Bluetooth, Camera Phone, TeckNet P168C Unlocked GSM Qual-Band Dual SIM Card Mobile Phone With 2.0M Camera, Dual Bluetooth and MP3 / MP4 Player, Sony Ericsson C902 Mobile Phone Unlocked Sim Free, Sony Ericsson W200i Sim Free Mobile Phone, Nokia 1200 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black, Nokia 6021 - Bluetooth - Polyphonic Ringtones - Built In Handsfree - Sim Free, Nokia 2760 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Red, Nokia N95 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Plum, Sony Ericsson W580i Sim Free Mobile Phone - black/grey, LG KE970 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Shine Silver
