Absolutely Brilliant

This is such an amazing DVD. I pre-ordered it ages ago and the family sat down to watch it last night. Katherine and Darcey look amazing and the singing and dancing is really fabulous. Guess what my mum's getting for Christmas? Viva La Diva!!

Girls Aloud - Tangled Up Tour 2008

I was there at the O2 and it was a brilliant gig. The costumes, dance routines and vocals of all five girls were fantastic. They sang all the hits, as well as the songs featured on the Tangled Up album. Surprise extra stage from the bridge was a nice surprise treat.

Its Only RocknRoll But I Like It

I managed to miss this in the cinema and waited a long time for it to turn up on DVD.
Its a great DVD, the sound is good quality, the video shots are superb the atmosphere is electric.
Its really nice the way Jagger comes across a bit tongue in cheek and the band don't seem to take it all too seriously.
The Stones aren't the best band ever but they have a long list of rock songs which deliver and have delivered constistently since 1960. Its all good fun.
Charlie Watts does a great job holding the rest of the band together, literally. And Jagger is still mesmeric to watch.
I saw them once in Croydon in the '60's with Brian Jones, only for the sound to be obliterated totally by screaming girls.
So it was nice to get to hear them in concert at last.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Love the Boys

Went to see the tour 4 times this year. Westlife are just incredible. This is a must buy for any fan, They look great, sound great and can even dance. 10 YEARS at the top and still going. Thanks for the great DVD Boys.

comparing kylie to madonna is an insult.

after reading the 2 star review, it needs to be stated,
to compare kylie to madonna is a total insult, kylie has something that madonna can only dream of....CLASS
being that i live in the only country in the world it seems, that wont be graced with kylies tour, i can only count the days till this dvd arrives.
it will without a doubt not disappoint in any way.

I genuinely think that Dave Grohl meant that when he mustered those words in disbelief.

Where do I start?

This concert was filmed live on location at Wembley Stadium, at the beginning of June earlier this year. I was lucky enough to find tickets for the Saturday show, and I knew it was going to be one of the best live shows I have ever seen.

I stand by that statement. I have been fortunate enough to see the Stereophonics in Llandudno (which was a massive coup for Venue Cymru), and Iron Maiden and Trivium in Manchester, and although Maiden were outstanding, I felt more alive and captivated by this show, even if I was three tiers up and Dave Grohl was the proverbial ant.

Here, I can re-live the concert again (or certainly parts of it), and the only downside is that I wanted more songs on the DVD - 'Come Alive' was outstanding, and there could easily have been more additions.

But Taylor Hawkins's drum solo, and Dave Grohl and Chris Shiflett's guitar duel in 'Stacked Actors' were fantastic...and then...

...you had Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. What an honour it was to share the company of these absolute legends. Dave got behind the drums for 'Rock and Roll' and Taylor did the vocals (and was startlingly like Robert Plant) - brilliant.

Dave then did the vocals for 'Ramble On' while Taylor got back on the drums.

An unforgettable night indeed. Please buy the DVD, even if you weren't a part of it.

natural born entertainers

this dvd is definitely a must for all boyzone fans and for people who want to be totally entertained for a couple of hours. it brought back some great memories of seein the boyz last year. my highlights have to be 'words', 'and i' and the jackson medley. with this dvd the boyz will prove yet again that they are amazing natural performers.

Pinks 2007 im not dead tour triumps over her 2004 Try this tour pinks distinctive vocal syle is there and the choreography will move and stun you while pink and her dancers just do what comes naturally.All of her hits are there like Trouble just like a pill family portrait 18 wheeler Dont let me get me and get the party started to the im not dead album it is a spectacular production of lights dance and energy and of course pinks total control of the stage i really give pink credit for singing live on all of her tours but im still not quite sure if she is lip synching in the performance of fingers pink has never before shown so much enthusiasm for her singing dancing and her fans this concert has state of the art sounds which should appeal to a multitude of musical tastes my fav performances are CUZ I CAN stupid girls There yo go fingers Dear mr president U + Ur hand and Get the party started Buy this pink Rocks.

This will blow you away

Utterley Amazing!

Being one of the hundreds of thousands that went to see Take That on tour I placed my pre-order for the Beautiful World DVD many weeks before it was actually released.
With very fond memories of the live tour I was unsure whether the DVD would be able to re-create the atmosphere I experienced in the MEN arena at Manchester.
It did.
The hairs on my neck stood up when the amazing classical overture kicked in at the very beginning and it did not stop there. The entire DVD is edited with excellent interludes and the extras on the DVD give you an insight into the tour that I have never experienced before.
All in all the DVD as a whole took me back to that cold December night where I experienced possibly one of the best concerts around.
The added extras on the DVD just make for an excellent peek into what life is really like on tour!
You are bound to enjoy this DVD even if you are not the biggest Take That fan.

Good but not great

The DVD is a good one, don't get me wrong i love watching/listening to the monkeys as the next guy but somehow i feel that the DVD has sucked all the energy out of the performance.
Firstly it shot using a lot of slow movements, e.g. a slow zooming in of the drummer. And secondly you can barely hear the audience at all. Together this means there is no feeling of rock or energy at all. It seems more like their '....Good On The Dancefloor' video, but at times that seems more exciting than this.

If your a Monkey's fan, buy it! If not, try renting it first.

Waste of time to watch...

A lot stupid, a little boring, mostly bizare... ok, sometimes you buy a film that is bad - however, I am more disappointed in wasting the time watching it. I kept thinking there must be something interesting or it would have to get better....NOT.

Best film I've seen for years

This is cinema of the highest calibre. Just like most Coen brothers films, it's not the millions spent on sets, or special effects (they're low to mid budget all the way) but the human touch that sets this apart. Homer was a good place to start, as it could be said that the Homeric poems laid the foundation for secular western literature. Add the genius of the Coen Brothers, and the old-fashioned"cinematic magic" qualities of Clooney, and you have a product that will not age. I've watched it only once so far, but I have half a dozen timeless quotes, for anyone willing to listen, including"I don't want Fop, goddammit. I'm a Dapper Dan man"
Se it for yourself. Five stars aren't enough.

Pink Floyd at their very best

I saw Pink Floyd at the Albert Hall in the late 1960's and they were spectacular by the standards of the day with their sound effects and strange on stage antics and costumes. However this performance from 1994, fortunately captured on film, is arguably the greatest popular live music and stunning visual performance ever held in the UK. The sound and visual quality of these DVD's is of the highest order. David Gilmour et al are a truly gifted bunch of pensioners.
