Review for HP Photosmart C5280 All-In-One Printer - 32 ppm, USB, 4800dpi, LCD Display:
However, Mac users should note that the CD/DVD printing software only works with Windows. As it happens, I already my own Mac-friendly CD printing software (Disc Cover), and I can tell you that this works well with the printer.
This is a lovely printer, and it's a shame about the Windows-only piece of software. For this reason I have given it 4 stars, but would happily upgrade to 5 stars if HP were to make it totally Mac-friendly.

Great Product
This is an exellent product, with very good quality prints and scans. It also feels well-designed and easy to use. It was simple to set up and it is now working very well with my Apple Mac.However, Mac users should note that the CD/DVD printing software only works with Windows. Review for Canon PIXMA MP 210 Photo Printer:
Firstly, the printer will not take card which is more than 100 gsm. Mine is 138 gsm! I managed to get a print, but had to place the sheets in the tray one at a time.
Secondly, the colour reproduction was nothing like the original; I had to tinker about with the colour values to get something approximate.
Thirdly, the resolution was poor. With previous printers I have been able to use the"normal" setting; with this printer I had the use the maximum setting - by the time I had done about fifty prints, including several which I had to throw away, I had used an ENTIRE colour cartridge.
I am now going out to buy a new printer!

Not as good as it looks!
I was given this printer as a replacement for a Canon IP4300 which had developed a fault, and was told it was"a better printer". It's probably my fault for not checking the specs, but I find it totally inappropriate for my purpose, which is the printing of greeting cards.Firstly, the printer will not take card which is more than 100 gsm. Mine is 138 gsm! I managed to get a print, but had to place the sheets in the tray one at a time.

Review for HP Photosmart C4280 All-In-One Printer - 30 ppm, USB, 4800 dpi:
I *would* have given it 5 stars, but I'm afraid I knocked one off because of the manufacturer's mind-bogglingly cheapskate decision not to include the necessary printer cable. If the cable was an expensive item, it might be understandable, but since you can buy one for only £2-£4, it's just... well, it's just plain cheapskate.
Of course, if you're replacing an older printer, you'll already have the cable, but that's not really the point.
Having got that off my chest, I've nothing else against this machine whatsoever.
I use Linux, not Windows, and I half-expected this to be a problem. In fact, it wasn't. I plugged it into my Arch Linux machine, and everything worked immediately. It even prints from my Ubuntu Linux laptop across my wireless network.
Print quality is great, and it prints *considerably* faster than my previous printer, an Epson.
It uses two cartridges, one for black and one for colour. This is also much better than the Epson, which required *4* cartridges, and refused to print at all if even one of them fell below the required level (the 'required level' was always a mystery to me, because the printer regularly declared that a cartridge was empty even when it was plainly about 30-40% full.)
Anyway, to sum up, I think this is a great printer and at a great price.

This is a superb little printer at a superb little price. I've had it for a while now, and haven't yet discovered any annoyances at all.I *would* have given it 5 stars, but I'm afraid I knocked one off because of the manufacturer's mind-bogglingly cheapskate decision not to include the necessary printer cable. The epson stylus sx 400 printer
I ordered this printer on 12th oct it arrived on the morning of 15th oct, i unpacked it and 15 minutes later i was using it. Its certainly the best printer i have had, its a little noisey when starting up, but it prints, copy's and the photo prints are excellent, all i'm waiting for is to see how long the inks last. The printer comes with a set of cartridges. I would recommend this printer.6
Review for Canon PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer:
Having looked around, i concluded to this printer, and i am sooooo happy with my purchase! It looks great-shiny black, very easy to use and install! Took about 5mins- take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on, put the cartridges in, install the software, attach a usb cable and its ready to use!
It comes with 2 ink cartridges one black and one colour. (ideal for me since you can choose which to use when printing instead of what i had before with the Lexmark where i didnt have a choice and it would use the ink and then once the black part of the ink had gone it was say id have to buy a new one, therefore if the black went on this one, i could just buy a new black cartridge and not have to buy colour if i dont use it much)
It doesnt come with a USB cable- hardly any printers do anyway- and i used the same one from my old printer.
I couldnt beleive how quick the printing was- i printed out two pages of my essay just to test it and it prints one line at a time in a split second, where as my Lexmark took about ten seconds per line! this is exactly the kind of speed i was looking for as ill be printing lots of essays this year.
The quality of the ink is extremely good i thought maybe on my other printer it was my paper that made the ink look rubbish and fade but it wasnt its the ink! the ink and quality of the work printed is so good just like its suppose to look! textbook quality. Very sharp and crisp.
It has a quiet mode so at night you can turn it on this mode if you dont want to wake anyone, but you can also keep it on in this mode all the time for the quietness.
my old printer also kept gettin paper jams and the paper would get aligned wrong somehow but with this printer, you can align it to A4 and the paper would stay there and print out straight as it should.
overall im extremely impressed with this printer.
It is also clever how it has a sensor that knows when the front part of the printer is not open when you try to print, for example today i pressed print and then got a alert message saying to open the front lid of the printer (as that is where the paper comes out of) to avoid paper jams. so this is clever incase you forget to open it, and then you can close it to save space.
£30 is a bargain for this printer, it also is designed to print photos but i havent tried that yet so cannot comment. but it is definitely better than the lexmark z735 i had before. and a top quality printer which everyone should buy!

Review for Canon PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer:
Excellent printer- top quality! Recommended!!!
I was looking for a printer the other day and couldnt decided which one to get, i bought the Lexmark z735 2years ago for about £15 but its seriously so expensive to run and not worth it at all. The Lexmark took forever to print one page and the ink cost about £15 average which didnt last long plus it being combined ink it always run out so much quicker, therefore i decided to spend a bit more on a better printer.Having looked around, i concluded to this printer, and i am sooooo happy with my purchase! Review for HP LASERJET P1005 14PPM USB 2.0, 2MB, 150SH:
Great for home use
This printer is cheap and comes with a toner which is roughly 50% full, and unfortunately with no USB cable. For home use this is a perfect printer, that is reasonably fast and produces very good quality prints. Printing is cheap and the toner works even after long periods without being used - I keep another Laserjet P1005 in my holiday home in Italy, so that I can print when I am there, something I could never do with an inkjet. I think most users do not need a colour printer, since photos are too expensive to print at home with a colour inkjet on photo paper anyway. I do recommend this printer for home use.8

Complete waste of money
Do NOT waste your money on this printer. I bought 2 of them for printing address labels in work and both of them packed in within 6 weeks, both with the same problem (not recognising the ink cartridges). Hours of uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers on different computers brought no success. The only saving grace was that they were cheap! They'll be going back to Amazon soon for credit. Don't waste your time or your money...you get what you pay for!10

A good little printer
This is a good little printer with a small footprint, good build quality, very easy set-up, the reassurance of HP reliability, and a design that is easy on the eye. It took me only a few minutes to set up, following HP's step-by-step instructions, and immediately delivered a good quality print. It was recommended by a technician friend as worth the few extra pounds it costs compared with its cheaper rivals and I have not been disappointed.A 'kettle lead' to connect the printer to the mains is supplied. Review for Samsung ML-2240 22ppm Mono Laser Printer:
Only disappointment with the delivery was that the packaging does not include the USB Printer cable, if I knew, I would have included it in the order..
As for the printers performance, I'm amazed.. I've printed some 800 pages of perfect quality text at amazing speed in the past 24 hrs, before I ran out of toner.. Not bad, when the toner included is only supposed to last 600 pages..
Performs like a breeze, is faster than expected, adequate memory to print bulky documents continuously, and is easy to assemble, though the instructions are not included.
Only other drawback, is that the paper tray is unable to hold more than 150-200 sheets at a go..
Nevertheless, an amazing buy, I could'nt have asked for better, after all, it's a laserjet for below GBP50/-
Just remember to include the USB Printer cable in the order!!!

I ordered the ML-2240 from Amazon.co.uk on the 22th of Oct, and opted for the free delivery. I was very disappointed when a rcv'd notification indicated that it will be delivered between the 28th Oct - 4th Nov. In fact I was contemplating cancelling the order, as like the rest of us, I hate waiting as well. But surprisingly, at 7am on 25th Oct, I received the printer via City Link delivery, amazing that free delivery was made in 3 days.Only disappointment with the delivery was that the packaging does not include the USB Printer cable, if I knew, I would have included it in the order..

4 in 1...
This printer is very nice. A very good scanning and copying function, with a very thorough set-up process. The printer is very quick and efficient with good ease of use with just the press of a button. The printer also has a fax function but I have never bothered to set that up. The only problem I do have with it though is that it uses quite a bit of ink, and the ink isn't cheap. For the price it is at now is very reasonable; it is of very good build, and looks expensive. The unit itself though is quite large and takes up a bit of room. It does also need a USB cable but they are a few pounds also on amazon!13

This printer does not have inbuilt wireless.
It comes with a separate component - a edimax usb wireless box which requires an additional power supply (included). But really this is two devices packed into one box.
I wished to buy an all in one product as advertised which included wifi as a feature. This is not the case unless you do not mind yet another transformer/power lead. Disappointing. Description should say this.

Review for Canon SELPHY CP740 Portable Photo Printer:
nice little unit
I ordered this printer together with a pack of KP-108P (which arrived a day before the printer). Although I have only just received the printer, I am very pleased with it in general. I found things very easy to follow using the handbook supplied and have printed the full version handbook from the supplied disc. Paper loading is straightforward and easy, not at all 'clunky' as others have found. I used the paper and cartridge supplied to print from my SD card which was too easy for words. I needed to buy an extra USB cable in order to print directly from my PC, again, this operation was simple and easy, athough I was thrown off course until I realised that the inbuilt visual display will only show a diagram depicting the connected printer and PC. Overall a very nice compact unit that produced truly great prints.I would thoroughly recommend anyone looking for a photo printer to buy this one.16

They all should be this easy
The ease of setting up this Lexmark printer was a pleasant surprise, being a network engineer I know how difficult setting up a wireless printer can be. I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the web site and followed the instructions; the only exception was entering the MAC address of the printer in to my router before I installed it. It connected the first time, it is quiet and quick the copy function is also quick. Having had Lexmark printers in the past I hope this will be as reliable as them as I am fed up of having to change printers annually.17
Review for HP Hewlett Packard Officejet 6310 All-in-One Fax/Copier/Printer/Scanner:
I like the fact that it has USB ports for cameras etc., and also memory card slots so you can print directly from these.
It has an easily accessable feed tray positioned at the top of the machine (on the lid of the scanner)
The control panel is intelligently positioned on the front of the machine and is easy to use (even without reading the instruction manual first!)
BUT.....
It comes without a connection cable! So after I'd carefully sorted it all out, loaded the software into my PC etc. etc. etc. and excitedly went to connect it up.... I found I couldn't link it to my PC!
I realise that this is not the most expensive printer and maybe this is how HP keep their costs down. Although I read the reviews here before I bought the printer, I failed to note a previous reviewer's comment on the same subject so was unprepared and hadn't bought the cable in advance....
So, for me, this printer loses a star because it should be supplied with a PC connection cable, in my humble opinion.
Otherwise, an brilliant piece of equipment and highly recommended (but buy yourself a cable at the same time as you order it!)

i bought this printer for two reasons- 1, the price and 2 the fact its epson. im not what you would call a heavy printer i only do random things like print off email confirmations, colouring in sheets for the kids ect.i found it very easy to set up when it arrived- i even put in the cartridges all by myself lol. the quality of one photo i printed wasnt amazing but still good, basicly what im trying to say is if you just want a family printer/copier/scanner then i think this is brilliant. if you want excellent quality then maybe you should save up a bit more money.but its just what i needed19

Not had to replace an ink cartidge yet so unsure how many pages I will get of what I want to do. So far - recomended.20

the price of inks
i have had this printer (bought from amazon) for 6 months. i had to give up a lovely epson that had never let me down as it wouldn't work with my new Mac. the very good reviews the nice customers at amazon gave this machine prompted me into its purchase above a new epson 680.the scanner is great. it has beginner and advanced user status and is very easy to format. the prints are super fast although the colour management is not so compatible with the new iMac's monitor, eg, the prints don,t look like they do on the screen. but then i take my work up to a local print shop and they use PC's and the colour saturation is always an issue. i have to drop the saturation by 25% to print out what i see in front of me. altering the colour management system so that the printer has control rather than the computer seems to work best.
the canon copies even faster than it prints with no nasty shaded bits and super white crisp edges.
the scroll wheel is a stylish though somewhat pointless addition to the interface, and the machine is very heavy, bulky and on occasions noisy.
however, the overall quality of the prints, the fantastic scanner and the speedy copier system make this a great purchase, BUT and its a big BUT, only if you are prepared to pay top whack for your printer cartridges.
if you print a lot, which i do, you may make the mistake of attempting to fit a CIS system. after the macbeth like scene of ink spattered work surfaces and stained hands, followed by near hysteria as to why was i so stupid that i couldn;t fit the simplest system in the world, i gave up. later discovering from a website that canon have designed the 610 to twart such an action. canon have also got into the cartridge chip and made it tell you that its empty when its not, thereby forcing you to purchase another cartridge. so if say the magenta cartridge is reading empty, the printer will not work. you can,t do anything, no scanning, no black and white printing, nothing. turning the printer off and then on again actually uses more ink...eek the price of endless replacment landfilling cartridges has made me view this very un eco machine with suspicion.
perhaps its becaue i'm working off a Mac that means i can,t tell the printer that the catridges are full, but i searched the web and its seems a vry common problem. i even bought a chip re setter this morning and tried to re set the chips, but no, the techno boys at canon have got that one covered. the printer simply reset them back to empty. if you google printer chips for canon 610 all of a sudden the bad reviews appear. in fact no good reviews appear.
in conclusion, if you are happy to shell out loads of dosh on OEM or Canon cartridges, then this is as good a printer as any in its price range, (probably better). i do have issues about all the plastic that i throw away and i am angry that Canon employ techno staff to force me to do that instead of encouraging recyling and refilling.
